Hello again,

I studied microwave engineering. That's where I discovered my passion for measuring instruments in the first place.

My home office is just equipped with a self-made DC source and a Nanio VNA I tried to finish my PhD and make some interesting experiments available for friends and everyone who is interested. Sometimes I'm a bit confused as every good engineer/scientist, so somehow I lost parts of the text in my last entry. Thoughts are faster than typing, always! This week I want to give a short update. I still designing a low-cost R-Mode receiver for my PhD thesis, as I lost access to the lab.

The other week some LNAs had arrived. Five minutes later the first one broke, as my power source decided to provide full current. Luckily, I had ordered a second one, but it wouldn't fit into the case I have.

In the end, I was able to put them all together as a receiver and noticed an overall improvement in the signal strength, as expected. In the future I hope to develop those parts step by step into a single PCB receiver; even this is out of scope for my thesis. However, I would need appropriate measurement gear for debugging, which really would help me to make alternative positioning avaliable for everyone (I already had the opportunity to give some distinguished lecture, but was not able to show the hardware part).

In my spare time, I worked on my training data sets. To do this, I had to be able to record the data with a Python script, a task that I didn't manage last week. After reading all the firmware code, I realized it was just an import error in the example code. So I wrote a new example notebook and pushed it to github:

Maybe some of you have the same issue.

Pull request still dependent.
